It’s THURSDAY friends!! Welcome to official weigh in day!! LET ME JUST SAY- The struggle is real and that’s what I’m loving about this weight loss journey. Some weeks we rock it- some weeks we don’t. BUT- every week we show up and we try to make HEALTHIER decisions than we did the week before. SO- to the MAMAS out there that are SHOWING UP…this ones for you! Keep on climbing your mountain!!

LET’S GET STARTED-

KRISSY:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 20 LBS

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 0 LBS

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 8 LBS

WEIGHT TO GO: 12 LBS

WEEKLY SUCCESS:

Hmm…The weight is not coming off like i had imagined but its really just one healthy choice at a time. I feel like I’m so much more aware of the choices I’m making and I think that’s a success. I’ve said from the beginning that this isn’t necessarily about a number on the scale for me. It’s about being HEALTHY. I’m healthier this week than i was last week. WIN 🙂

WEEKLY STRUGGLE:

I hate exercising. There-i said it out loud. EEE! Sorry to all you exercise fans out there. I’m afraid it’s time though if this process is going to work for me. So, this week I’m off to find a form of exercise that I actually enjoy. Oh boy!

WEEKLY TIP:

Turns out they make VITAMIN WATER with zero calories now! Bam! It’s replaced my diet coke (mostly). I’m pretty happy about that. The Acai-Blueberry-Pomegranate is my favorite!

DIANA:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 25 LBS

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 1.5 LBS

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 5.5 LBS 

WEIGHT TO GO: 19.5 LBS 

WEEKLY SUCCESS:

I am impressed with myself for still trying. I really would like to see more weight dropping but I will keep plugging along!

WEEKLY STRUGGLE:

HORMONES! Seriously, why must I feel that the only way to deal with the symptoms of PMS is food?!!

WEEKLY TIP:

I mentioned this before, but I really do better if I eat a larger calorie breakfast and lunch, than if I try to save my calories until the end of the day. I just don’t have any energy if I don’t eat enough food early in the day.

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 26 LBS

WEEKLY SUCCESS:

I did really well at not eating treats this week-even when my husband kept bringing them to me!

WEEKLY CHALLENGE:

My husband- I’m sure he is sabotaging my efforts. Here’s a cookie…Here’s ice cream..How about pasta? Bread? Chocolate for dinner? Whoosh!!

WEEKLY TIP:

There are these great little packets called Wholly Granolly! They’re like GOLD! SO GOOD!

Also- I still think having to report to all of you is my biggest motivation!

SHAY: 

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 65 LBS 

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 1 LB 

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 3 LBS 

WEIGHT TO GO: 62 LBS  

WEEKLY SUCCESS: 

My success is that somewhere I found the confidence to wear a 2 piece swimming suit and it made me want to work harder. Also- I took Tyson (my dog) on so many walks that we he to stop because his hip was hurting him.

WEEKLY STRUGGLE: 

Eating out on the weekends! When you cook of a living, the last thing you want to do is cook on your days off. It’s so much easier to go out!

WEEKLY TIP:

Although most of my knives are top of the line and work really well, it is SO much easier to just buy the small cups of fruits and veggies at the grocery store. On my way to work I just grab a fruit cup and a NAKED juice out of the fridge and I’m good to go.

SHAE:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 25 LBS 

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 1.4 LBS 

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 1.4 LBS 

WEIGHT TO GO: 23.6 LBS 

WEEKLY SUCCESS:

I’ve been doing pretty decent on my water intake–getting my 64oz in on more than half of the days this week. Some days are better than others but I’ve made a vast improvement over what i used to do (which was maybe 2 cups a day!) I’ve also been walking to the park (and around the park) to be able to get in some exercise. Starting small..as it’s SOMETHING, and something that i can do with my kids in tow. This is the first time that I’ve actually forced myself to exercise in a couple years..so it’s a good start.

WEEKLY STRUGGLE: 

The weekend was the hardest for me. Between weddings and family parties this weekend (and needing to eat out), it was hard to watch my caloric intake as much as if I were at home. I did great all week with avoiding the “treats” and snacks, until the weekend!

WEEKLY TIP:

Carrots dipped in hummus is an amazing snack! I haven’t ever tried that before this past week but I think I could eat it like candy! I can eat quite a lot without the calorie count going through the roof- and it’s very satisfying!

….AND THAT’S A WRAP FRIENDS! The WHYMOMS GET HEALTHY TEAM lost a total of 6.9 LBS this week. It’s not our best week but its better than not trying! Thanks for checking in on us! Hope you all have a HEALTHY week!
