HI FRIENDS!! It’s thursday again! I’m excited to be back for a weekly health check. It’s nice to have a little space on the big old web to help keep me accountable. If you are new here-thanks for joining us! You can read the first weeks of our journey here- WEEK 1WEEK 2WEEK 3-

Okay- here we go!

KRISSY:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 20 LBS

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 1 LB

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 7.2 LBS

WEIGHT TO GO: 12.8 LBS

 

WEEKLY SUCCESS:

My success this week was that I didn’t gain weight! We went camping and I didn’t realize how difficult it is to eat healthy while you are out of your normal routine. That was an eye opener. Thank you world for having a holiday almost every week since I’ve started this journey. Sheesh!

WEEKLY STRUGGLE:

I feel like i lost sight of my WHY this week. I was focused on the number on the scale but forgot my main reason for wanting to lose weight…and I had some serious scale anxiety. I hate that thing. Not to worry though- I have a plan to conquer my fear. I will be back next week to show you my idea.

WEEKLY TIP:

 

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS STUFF. SO DANG GOOD. (See what i did there- all caps- that’s like shouting in the real world.) It deserves a serious shout out. It’s beeen my go to snack this week. Thank you granola creators! You can buy it HERE.

DIANA:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 25 LBS

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 0 LBS 

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 4 LBS (Yes, that is the same as last week)

WEIGHT TO GO: 21 LBS 

WEEKLY SUCCESS: Well, water drinking is about all I can cheer about.  I am still writing down what I am eating, but the calories are not good.

 

WEEKLY STRUGGLE:

Exercise-I sure wish I had a desire to make exercise a priority.  I was hoping that the social pressure of reporting each week would make me skip to the gym, but I am better at finding excuses than getting to the gym. 

WEEKLY TIP:

I am going to try to schedule in the gym on my calendar for the week and hope that reduces the excuses.

AMA:

WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 26 LBS

WEEKLY WEIGHT LOST: 5.5 LBS

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 5.5 LBS

WEIGHT TO GO: 20.5 LBS

WEEKLY SUCCESS: I was able to scratch an item off my bucket list this week by officiating the girls 5A state softball championship. That kept me busy and focused. I also am mothering my grandkids this week while my daughter is cruising around the Caribbean! Three kids is keeping me BUSY!

 

WEEKLY STRUGGLE:

I HATE vegetables and ate very few of those. However, i did increase my fruit by 1,000 percent. Water was also a struggle for me this week.

WEEKLY TIP:

BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SOMEBODY- it has helped me a lot to have to report to Krissy, Diana, and everyone who reads this page. GO TEAM!

Now- it’s my pleasure to introduce you to my littlest sister. She is the one and only! So proud of her for joining us and making some changes. FRIENDS… meet SHAY-

SHAY:

MY STORY:

Well, I have always been the fat sister. We have all kinds in our family- the tiny one, the athletic one, the beautiful one, and the chunky red head. But hey- at least I have pretty hair 🙂 I have always struggled with my weight and hid behind my jokes and general charm. I just want to be proud of the way I look.

MY WHY:

It really sucks when you are folding your boyfriends clothes and his pants wouldn’t even go above your thigh. More than that though- I want to be happy and have that natural energy that comes from being healthy.

MY GOALS:

I want to be able to do a pull-up. I want to be able to keep up with my boyfriend on our bikes or in our kayaks. And ultimately- I want to lose 65 pounds and look AMAZING in a wedding dress!!

MY PLAN:

Work a lot less and work out a little more. Take the 4-legged kiddos for a run (they are getting pudgy too)- and stop giving in to the burger and sweet tea cravings when I’m stressed out. Maybe i will have to cut back on the ice cream also.
